Foot And Leg Pamper

This is a unique, rhythmical, powerful therapy combining Chinese reflexology, Shiatsu and traditional Thai Massage techniques. It is applied to the feet and lower legs which involves hands on stretching and massage, together with the use of a stick to stimulate the reflex points on the foot to promote health and wellbeing.

It is believed that blockages within the energy lines will result in illness and pain and, by working along these lines with Thai Foot Massage, blocked energy can be released and functions balanced.

Most traditional massage focuses on tissue manipulation and the working of the muscles surrounding joints. Thai Foot Massage barely touches on these, it is a more gentle, rhythmical working of the pressure points, energy lines and body forces which, together, produce a highly effective therapy.

As Thailand is located along the great trade routes, Thai Foot Massage was greatly influences by both China and India, two of its closest neighbours and their reflexology systems. Research suggests that it was brought from India to Thailand by Buddhist Monks and Ayurveda Doctors.

This traditional healing massage is believed to have been practiced for over 2000 years and is still taught by Buddhist Monks in the Temples of Thailand.

    Skin And Soul Nurturing

Whilst the emphasis of this facial is on nourishing the skin with natural anti-aging ingredients, the guided healing visualisations and quality of touch makes it a very special experience.

The skin is the largest organ in the body and the only one we can touch directly, so this facial not only brings the skin back to a radiant condition, it works on the inside as well.

The that I use are from the award winning @15 which contain the best quality essential oils and natural ingredients which will help look after your face's wellbeing.

It combines the very best and most effective ancient and modern face lifting massages whilst incorporating Japanese face lifting techniques into one rejuvenating session.

It is designed to be a gentle, non-invasive approach to looking younger, which aims to offer a glowingly radiant complexion after the very first appointment.

The techniques used work on the major facial muscles, connective tissues and lymphatic nodes as well as stimulating collagen and elastin.

This massage draws upon the traditional Taoist system of medicine, where the emphasis is on releasing blocked energy, leading to better health and vitality. Ki energy is like an orchestra working in synchrony and this massage helps to re-tune the energy pathways.

It works primarily by freeing constrictions both within the facial muscles and in the connective tissue. In addition, this massage works as a facial detox by increasing the blood and lymphatic circulation, whilst the quality of touch, mindful techniques and flowing movements feel good.

Facial massage has historically been used by Geisha women in Japan to invigorate the encourage wellbeing and help radiate outer beauty, in keeping with the time honored tradition that the face reflects inner calm. There is also evidence that facial massage was popular amongst Edwardian women.

    Ear Candling

This is a traditional Native American inspired method of ear candling. It has also become known as "Hopi" Ear Candling although the Hopi Tribe have never practiced this technique despite what you may have seen or read.

Ear Candles are hollow tubes made of organic cotton, impregnated with beeswax, herbs, therapeutic oil and honey.

The candles I use, which are based on a traditional formula which orginates with Native American Indian tribes, contain on natural ingredients (except the filter):-

  • Honey extracts
  • Sage
  • St Johns Wort
  • Chamomile
  • Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene)
  • Pesticide free woven cotton

A candle is lit and placed in one ear at a time and can take between 9 and 12 minutes to burn.

Nothing is blown into the ear.

A sensation of slight warmth may be felt as well as crackling or hissing sounds may be heard.

    Heavenly Head Massage

An Indian Head Massage works specifically on the head, scalp, face, neck, shoulders and upper back. As these areas hold most tension, it is a wonderful therapy to melt away muscle tension, relax and calm the mind.

It is carried out in a sitting position with or without the use of oils.

The origins of Indian Head Massage are from a traditional system of medicine known as Ayurveda, which has been practised in Indian since around 2500BC. It was developed by Rishis, ancient Indian holy men, which were essentially scientists and made great advances in the understanding of holistic ways of promoting health and preventing illness.

Indian Head Massage was made popular in the UK in the early 1980s by Dr Narendra Mehta, a physical therapist from India, who extended the technique to include the back, next, shoulders and face.

Today, Indian Head Massage is becoming increasingly used as a stress buster because it is so quick, simple and effective.
